Not long after the Dublin Irish Festival (July 31st weekend in Dublin, Ohio) it was time to focus on the finishing details of the fast-approaching August wedding. After dating for three years, Ali and Patrick would make it official! Their family and friends would be arriving from around Columbus, Lewis Center, and beyond. Getting the two love birds hitched was becoming a primary thought in everyone's mind.
Arriving at Ali's house around 8a, on the morning of a greatly anticipated wedding day, was perfect timing for preparations to begin. The house was filled with delicious fragrances of yummy food cooking. Ali's bridesmaids were moving around, enjoying each other's company and helping to get the morning's fare prepared. You know it is going to be a good day when the air outside is fresh, the sky is beaming with beautiful sunshine and the girls are chipper and ready to celebrate together. It stirs my soul to see such love for one another and friendships rooted deep in appreciation and passion.
Setting up at the dining room table was perfect for being able to set up my rollers, curling irons, sprays and all the tools needed to create the inspired looks desired. Ali's home offered the comfort and convenience that is so perfect for wedding day beauty.
Girls and their hair! For Ali's mother we did a blow out inspired style. Smoothing and creating volume in all the right places to create a polished and refined mother of the bride style. The bridesmaids were inspired by different type of updos. Full of texture, billowing curls, volume just right, pinned and sprayed to last through the night. Whether the bridesmaids style was off center and slightly to the side or center back, it was customized to each of the lovely ladies and looked stunning. The bride, the soon to be Mrs. Caulkins, wore her hair in a textured, curled, pulled back, low and slightly resting on the neck, bridal updo hairstyle. She looked most magical! The center part fit her faceshape most perfectly. Her curls were pinned into a very full and volumtuous bun type of inspiration.
The bridesmaids gowns were shades of purple/eggplant. Each of the girls was able to pick out a dress that suited them perfectly and it worked beautifully. The stunning bride gown was beautifully fitted from the waist up. It flowed so exquisetly from the waist down. Magnificient bridal look and she carried it most gracefully.
