The Saturday before Thanksgiving was not only a day of wedded bliss but also the date of the much-anticipated showdown between Indiana University (ranked #5) and Ohio State University (ranked #2). For Alexandra and Jacob, it was a day to merge their love for each other with their love for family, friends, and a touch of game-day spirit.
Planning Perfection
The couple entrusted Lindsey Perkins of Lindsey Michelle Events to help plan and coordinate every intricate detail of their big day. Lindsey’s expertise ensured everything ran smoothly, from the early morning preparations to the evening's final dance. The bridal party and family were hosted at the historic LeVeque Hotel on Broad Street, where the festivities began.

The bridal suite buzzed with excitement as Alexandra and her 16 attendants prepared for the day. Goode Beauty took the lead on makeup services, with Shannon Goode, Maggie Thomas, Kendall Crawford of Kendall Leigh Makeup, and Rebekah Lynch working together to create stunning, timeless looks. On the hairstyling side, Sarah Whitaker led the charge, crafting elegant styles for the bride, her two sisters, and mother, while Shannon Goode and another talented stylist handled the remaining bridal party members.
The atmosphere in the suite was nothing short of joyful, with everyone enjoying a morning of pampering, laughter, and anticipation for the day ahead.
Game Day Meets Wedding Day
As guests gathered at The Keep bar inside Hotel LeVeque, team spirit was alive and well. Clad in OSU and Indiana gear, friends and family rallied for the football game of the season before transitioning to wedding finery for the 2 PM ceremony.
The Ceremony
The couple exchanged vows at the breathtaking St. Andrew Catholic Church on McCoy Road. Surrounded by loved ones from all over the country—including Austin, Texas; Miami; Venice, Florida; and Utah—Alexandra and Jacob’s union was filled with heartfelt moments and cherished traditions.
A Capitol Affair
The celebration continued at The Ohio Statehouse, where the grandeur of the historic venue set the stage for an unforgettable reception. This black-tie-optional affair was expertly captured by Kismet Visuals, ensuring every smile, tear, and dance move was immortalized.
Guests were treated to a night of fine dining, lively music, and heartfelt toasts honoring the couple’s journey together.
