"Women who support women are more successful." - Forbes
This has proven true in so many ways. What can be more powerful than women coming together?
That tribal feeling of support, unwavering dependability and nurturing, soul soothing love that women are known for can conquer all.
I read something recently in an online Forbes post and want to share it with you.
"I always say a woman alone has power; collectively we have impact. Traditionally we have been taught to be competitive with one another, because there was such a scarcity of jobs at the top. It’s so clear that strategy doesn’t work. The truth is that raising each other up and channeling the power of collaboration is truly how we’ll change the equation—and have a lot more fun along the way.
There is a boys’ club where women never felt comfortable, so we decided to create a Girls’ Lounge more than six years ago where everyone feels like they belong. We discovered two things:"
"There is power in the pack."
"You realize your strengths make the table better."

This resonated with me in a powerful way. To be honest, since the Corona Virus 2019 started to really effect us in March of 2020, I have taken on a whole new mindset. It is giving me a greater appreciation of my fellow tribe. These ladies have always been a rock and great support but to have that sort of taken away has rocked my world. If nothing else, the CoVid-19 pandemic has helped to center my mind and help me to find a gratefulness that was sometimes taken for granted. In a quiet space and time it becomes much more easy to realize the little beautiful things, such as community connection.
Connecting to your community of like-minded individuals can fan a flame of hope and inspiration in a way that is priceless. When you are surrounded by people who are on a similar journey, it becomes much easier to take the leaps of faith and dream bigger.
Looking forward to that connection is something that makes the sun on the horizon seem a little brighter!
